I told you

by Beautiful Tragedy   Oct 28, 2014

I told you I'd break into a million pieces,
That I would tear your heart apart,
Why you didn't believe me is beyond me,
I warned you from the start.

I told you I was broken,
That you couldn't love me so,
I told you to away,
but still you wouldn't go.

I told you that I'm not worth it,
That I would never let you in,
I told you that I was too far gone,
But you still tried to win.

I told you that I hated you,
That I wanted you to go away,
But still you wouldn't listen,
It didn't matter what I would say

I told you I hated myself,
That I would tear you down as well,
You didn't exactly believe me,
And that's exactly why you fell.

I told you I would do this,
You didn't give it a second thought,
I told you you needed to leave me alone,
But instead you stood and fought.

I told you I would hurt you,
No matter how hard you tried,
I told I was too broken,
That I would never let you inside.

So while you're angry and you're upset,
And you take it out on me,
Remember that I told you,
There would never be a "we"
