Eyes of blue

by Mitchell delsoa   Nov 28, 2014

A boy blessed with the eyes of blue
Looking at the world as if it were new
Trying to understand the reasons so few
To explain these feelings he has towards you

Expectations set so high
But still he can't find the reasons why
Yet he will give it another try
Hoping to seize the moment before he dies

Fast forward years ahead
Lies was all the boy was fed
So here he lays a life of dread
Excepting the fate of the dead

Now this boy is a man
Destroyed as he fell for the plan
A soul meant for the damned
Just another body to be buried in the sand

He learned that all will be used
Heartache is for the old and the new
So as he lays there dying he knows its true
Life will claim the soul of even the boy with eyes of blue
