Glass Cage

by PorcelainMoon   Dec 5, 2014

Cage of glass, delusions of a purposeless wandering searching for any meaning among the dejected masses.
Clouding your consciousness each sip of whiskey tightens the noose on a vague desperate existence
Plagues of hypocrites swarming on any natural error with glassy eyed anticipation.

To perish in the arms of an unwanted lover, to linger alone eyes closed, closed casket.
Human sized hole in the ground where you left the memories of a cold Night.
Rejection always welcomes you with arms wide open.

If i were you I would revisit the style/format of this piece as it makes reading the lines a little choppy - though that could very easily just be my squirrel brain. Otherwise I like this piece and how you played off of personified emotions as a way of showing how you may of felt without putting your own emotion or memories/experience into the piece. Well penned.
