Jame's Song

by James Garrett   Dec 18, 2014

Summer, fall, winter and spring,
Through them all I've learned to sing,
Of depths of sorrow,
Heights of joy and love.
Because The Master has blessed me with the Spirit of the dove.
Before the song I was in pain,
Drinking from the Cup of Wrath to my disdain.
I fell to my knees and cried out to God,
Please Lord, deliver me from this body of sod.
The Master then guided my trembling hands,
Showing me offenses that could not stand.
The Masters plan for me was good,
As I cried out for mercy
Besides me He stood.
He gently took my hand and said,
My Blessed Son let pride be still!
You are now guided by My Holy Will.
He delivered me both spirit and soul,
His indwelling Spirit showed me my goals,
To end the worldly desire of my restless days,
He changed my will and put straight my ways.
