The Futility Of Man

by James Garrett   Dec 18, 2014

The Futility Of Man

Has life thus parted from you noble man?
Are you are impatient to see the finished grand?

Look back and see the history of what the masters offer,
Have they not taught you the futility of the perfection that you proffer?

If time permits you to look at the attainments of man,
Were they completed quiet easily or through failure until it would stand?

Nay brother, your restless ways will never see the implentation of thy yearning,
You have not acquired the seasoning of enduring pain to acquire thy learning.

But when you accept the failures of a life made worth living,
Then thy fevered brow will learn that patience is part of the giving.

To attain a life of contentment one must accept that bitter tool,
For it is only then that your life will not become the way of the fool.

Gather thus all you who strive through suffering to behold what you hypothisize.
That If the tool of patience is sharpened thus, your best laid plans will suffice.
