Circular Senses

by Michael D Nalley   Dec 19, 2014

When I was child on Christmas night
with all my worries out of sight,
like painted ponies on a wheel
my fantasies and dreams seemed real.
Making images with bristles
A Merry Go Round that whistles
Yet it is not what I could hear,
see, smell or taste giving me cheer.
Twas a spirit I could not touch
that caused my mind to spin so much.

Gift: A Merry Go Round that whistles
Thank you Maple Tree

Honestly, I was surprised to see that this piece was yours, it didnt quite seem like your style, but I am glad that it placed because it is a beautiful write. It's a cute little nostalgia piece and I quite enjoyed it. Wonderfully penned!
