How Life Turned To Be...

by Sj929   Feb 7, 2015

I saw a girl, a watch in her hand,
a silver lining with pinkish band...
I asked her time and she smiled,
What's your name? She chimed...

We talked, we laughed and got to know,
We met just there but felt it was long ago...
Months passed, we grew closer,
With friendship in the club, we were the brawlers...

She won a place in my heart,
I got some space too...
The colourless pages of my life,
Were turning with a dormant hue...

I forgot my past, the pain it gave,
The reason was not only care...
All my friends may have helped,
Though, she had the largest share...

She knew the problems, I knew the solutions,
We understand with a single stare...
Such a symbiotic relation it was,
Parasitic, with love and care...

We shared our griefs,
Our pains and scars...
As i got to know more,
I understood the darkness of that star...

We are so different, yet so alike,
but we were inseperable...
Our friendship got a certain hype,
yes, It was commendable...

She began to grow on me,
as I drifted in her thoughts...
But then I began to see,
she was the rain to my droughts...

She was in love with someone else,
I knew it all along...
My head became numb, my heart became dense,
The bells inside rang with dong...

I still asked her, with all due fear,
She began to loose her glow...
she said, It's not love dear,
Oh my love, how do I show?

We remained just friends,
So close yet far away...
For me and her in the end,
It was a nasty day...

Still we smiled and care for us,
For we cannot be broken by this...
We have a life in front of us,
and we want to turn it in a bliss...

Now, that we see in each other's eye,
We begin to remember that day...
None can speak, With a silent understanding,
We know it's better to not to say...

Our bond is there, stronger than ever,
We don't need a hug or a kiss...
We still care and we still have life,
For friendship is there, and it's a bliss...

(This is a special poem dedicated to one of my friend with whom I have learned to move on and enjoy my life. Happy Birthday dear :) )
