Patty

by Frank P Cotter   Feb 27, 2015

Her sparkling eyes hide all our pain
Her unconditional love in sun or rain
Her loving glance can make my day
Her gentle voice to guide my way
Charity and compassion she gives for free
The tender touch she gives to me
A thousand times I've watched her sleep
In pain and frustration without a peep
Our house is small but neat and tidy
A friendly smile with heart so mighty
I don't always tell her how much I care
When I squeeze her tight and touch her hair
A thousand times I've tried to say
The way I feel each and every day
I love her now and ever after
In sorrow, grief and times of laughter
My love for her forever lingers
My golden band upon her finger

4,8 for this one, it's not excellent (mostly my biased opinion as I enjoy more metaphorical works than simplified pieces) but really this is truly a sweet and wonderful piece that so vividly describes a woman of true beauty and your great love for her. Well done!
