Daisy

by Sage   Mar 7, 2015

A treat of treacle on my tongue
along a cotton candy lane
I fell upon a pillowed song
And danced all day til daisy came

When she was here the sun was near
so close yet worlds apart
each would touch our hemispheres
Two heroes spark the dark

I miss the many morning moons
My winter angel winged away
She flickered faultless in my room
No cheers nor tears would make her stay

From sweet rosé to bitter ales
Cease to find this piece for daisy
Peace be with the chafing scales
Just before they drive me crazy
