Her sultry town

by Sage   Mar 29, 2015

Ravage of a savage dog
lock jaw and jealousy
rampage on the rage again
caused another casualty

tearing through a tired thigh
thoughts of fury in my mind
even though her lips don't lie
warmer words can seem unkind

trust is terrible at times
buried in the deepest fear
holding back and torn apart
stepping near when sleep is here

lost puppy rarely found
weary in the underground
seldom in her sultry town
in my solemn I must drown.
