She

by RB   Apr 4, 2015

She couldn't find stability in things that were stable,
And only felt alive when things went astray.
She was out of control, out of her mind,
And she didn't seem to care.

She wanted more without having to be more,
And she wanted to be more without having to want more.

She cared too little and she cared too much.

People made no sense and yet she understood people.

She was narcissistic and selfless,
And the greatest anomaly one could fathom.

She would be, she was, and then she wasn't.
She was life, and she was death.
She was remembered and she was forgotten.
She came to be and she came to end.

It was the way things had always been.
