The Lost Paths

by Tina   Apr 20, 2015

I still get chills when my eyes get trapped on your name
Whenever, wherever it appears on
It was some long time ago
I decided to give up on the feelings I had on you
I just buried them in a hole in my intellect
Yet they try to grow like a seed planted in the sand
Little facts do water them
I am left with no regrets
But with smiles I suddenly find on my face
When I remember the days we talked
Talked like there'd be no end
Though there was nothing, we were searching for something
We were too close to get our paths from nowhere crossed
Something made you and I lost
And those paths never met each other
Years give me the sense of an instant
It was long ago but feels like yesterday
You don't remember me even
May be
I still do
I don't need those paths cleared again
But I still bear in mind
The beauty of them as we walked along
Not you, not I
Will ever try to uncover them another time
