Bye Bye Baby

by lonelynow   Jun 6, 2015

If life meant something else
I would cradle now
A tiny version of myself
Warm and heavy in my lap
But when I looked in her eyes
Would I see the absence of God?
Would I see the unbearable pain
Of a life unobserved?
My arms are empty
My sins left in a far away land
Her blood and mine.

Im revisiting poets from years gone by. I find myself with your profile.
I feel sad that this was your last write. Such pain. I hope these past few years have treated you better.

A really hard-hitting piece of poetry that brought a lump to my throat.

Take care and all the best,
