Da Vinci's mystery - solved.

by Mr. Darcy   Jun 29, 2015

In a largely unknown world, a luminescent, yet tiny spark explodes like an atom dissecting, sending a million billion excited synapses into spasm. Neurons eject like an electrical shock-wave.

Across the midnight sky a comet sears a joyous sapphire scar so deep that one could imagine a city of angels swimming in time, lazily, playing in its nourishing crystal cool waters.

In the void between negative and positive his lips gently part and a deliberate series of complex sounds are created. Sounds so perfectly synchronized with inflection.

Once, twice, thrice - a phrase as old as time, yet as new as dew on a dragonfly's drying wing.
Words infused with intense emotion and tenderness.

Within The Louvre,

The Mona Lisa

sheds a tear.

Love it! I am huge on science and the universe, psychics and everything above so this first stanza really grabbed me. The words and your vocabulary that you used is so broad it's always great to see poets broaden their vocab. But I can easily see the Neron sparking not only into life through the universe but within the mind, body, and soul as the love begins to be planted deeply within the heart. So vivid!

A true wonderment of words, it's like the universe and love has entwined within space and earth colliding together becoming the beautiful masterpiece we see in nature and people every single day.

I like the description here because it's like he's in amazement of what he see within the sky, maybe even within a person he loves but he's hesitate at the same time ultimately allowing his curiosity to take over.

Once, twice, thrice - a phrase as old as time, yet as new as dew on a dragonfly's drying wing.

Beautifully finished, I relate this as the phrase being "I love you" because love is as old as time as it is the strongest vibration within the entire universe and even as old as they are whenever one truly says them and means then they are new, intense, and full of tender.

All four stanzas are beautifully crafted as usual, but the second, in my opinion, is wonderful. Such beautiful imagery conjured there. Wonderful, original write.
