Stay strong

by SilentOne   Aug 1, 2015

Growing up she could barely look people in the eye
Afraid they'd see how she really felt inside
Feeling so lost in a great big world
Lost at sea, drowning but she can't die, it's not her time
She feels she'll never belong in this world
The love of Jesus is the only thing that keeps her alive

Stay strong the storm will be over soon
Jesus is the bandage covering the wound
But the scars will always be there
Do your best, and don't worry about who's not there
You have what you need to survive the ware and tare

She grew up, still the same girl
Had a child of her own, he's her world
In all the things he's had to go through
She tried to tell him all the hurt would be over soon
She knows to some kids he will never belong
Only in heaven will he ever be whole
The love of Jesus is the only thing keeping him alive

Stay strong the storm will be over soon
Jesus is the bandage covering the wound
But the scars will always be there
Do your best and don't worry about who's not there
You have what you need to survive the wear and tare
And mommy will always love you no matter what
