A foul prank

by Something   Aug 2, 2015

Heard you were coming to my town
I knew i had to be around
to see your face one last time
last time I did, you were mine

It's been little over 3 years since I
seen your face with my own eye
my reaction, I can't predict,
it's really not something I can predict

hope to strike a conversation with you
although I'm scared you won't want to
running lines through my head
the thought they wont work fills me with dread

I hear you're in town today
I put on my boots and make my way
I see you from behind and approach
I get a call to say it was a hoax

When you have friends like mine
they have nothing better to do with their time
I was the victim of a prank
Screw you boys, that prank stank
