Wedding day jitters

by Darren   Aug 6, 2015

Nature brought us together,
enough false dawns between us
to create a pretend year in a sandbox.

You will never truly appreciate how naturally beautiful
you really are, a smile tugs on a heavy heart
laughter turns stomach moths to butterflies.

Then he questions as he changes tense.

He wondered if love was made up,
is there really such a feeling?
Can we be truly blinded by such an emotion?
Or is this just an over dramatized fad?

Then he saw you,
he began to know you,
no fault could be found
despite his best efforts to ruin.
He didn't deserve an Angel
never appreciated her touch.

His heart lightened and he let love in,
it filled his soul with happiness,
knocking down barriers in his mind,
strangling hate, deflecting doubt.

Sixteen years of being one,
two souls juxtaposed in outlook
bounded by rings and true feelings.
Love can conquer and combine.

"Wedding day jitters,
rewards him with a soul mate,
Angels heart captured."
