Excuses

by Jay Colon   Aug 9, 2015

There is always an excuse
I didn't receive anything
I'm busy at work
I left my phone charging
I fell asleep
As much women that i have spoken to
I never met someone with your occupation that busy
We don't even talk on the phone
It's only through text messaging
Hours go by I don't hear from you
You claim you love me
Yet you're always busy
What are you doing?
Saving the world?
Running a country?
Helping the poor?
I'm sure you have time for a walk
Even a girls night
Even a simple phone call
So don't tell me you're busy
Behind that lie
That horrible excuse is a real reason
Just be honest with me
Tell me you don't want me
Tell me you don't have time for the relationship
Tell me you're not ready for the commitment
You don't want to put the effort
Do not keep me waiting
Trying to do everything on your terms
Your busy is total bullsht
We were in a partnership for months
I know you well enough
So let me tell you
How are we supposed to progress?
Experience commitment and intimacy?
Or have balance and consistency?
If your quick to plead that you're busy
If you really want me
you'll make time
I deserve to be a prioity
So don't tell me you're busy
Behind that lie
That horrible excuse is a real reason
Just be honest with me
Tell me you don't want me
Tell me you don't have time for the relationship
Tell me you're not ready for the commitment
You don't want to put the effort
Do not keep me waiting
Trying to do everything on your terms
Your busy is total bullsht
It's just all about priorities
