Seasons of Love

by Shelley Williams   Sep 14, 2015

The seasons are passing
and a chill cools the air,
The sky in its beauty
drops snow everywhere.

Flakes of pure white
blanket the land,
Ice hangs from branches
as if to reach out a hand.

Fun is the snowball
that flies into the pond,
Thrown by a good friend
while forming a bond.

A couple in courtship
aware of their bounds,
Enjoy nature hikes
and gentle wind sounds.

They wander their lives
in search of true love,
The meaning of life
in the clouds up above.

The winter months fade
and the springtime agree,
The couple embraces
a union meant to be.

The snow is melting
and the sun has a glow,
Love has its place
in the seasonal flow.
