Come Along

by Maricris   Sep 22, 2015

Come on
Let's run along the shores with me
Like little boys and girls do
Let each stride
Touch the shells and pebbles under our feet
Once in a while play with the tide.

And hey,
Let's have a picnic under the tree
With a feast of young coconuts, pineapples
And mangoes of bounty
We'll sing and dance
Like there's nothing to worry
Carefree
You and me.

Let's pick wild flowers
As we walk through endless pastures
Under those clouds cottony-white
With grazing cattle, shepherd flying a kite
As dandelions and daisies sway
To the music of chirping birds oh, I'm so amazed.

Come sit with me by nightfall
As we gaze at the moon so lovely
Thinking of the wonders of it all
Can you explain to me why
Because I'm more than happy
As we count the stars like eternity.
