I'll Remember You

My dearest friend
Once you told me
Everything comes as a blessing
Yet it's here in my heart I can see.

Miracles happen everyday
The air that we breathe
Every night when we sleep
Till we're awake during the day.

That laughter that we had
The reasons why we're sad
My heart is full of regret
And it really makes me sad.

All of my life
I'm so troubled and confused
My eyes blazing with rage
And I thought I am being abused.

I might not fully understand
What God has laid for me
There may be someone who is against me
But I've gained the love of many.

What more could I ask for
Why would I ask for more
When God has already sent me you
Is that a halo on top of you?

Life is so complicated
Asking questions how and why
But now I can forget all these and sigh
Because God gave me gifts I can't deny.

Until my last breath
I will always remember and give thanks to you.
