The View

by Francis Njoroge   Oct 22, 2015

Aurora, beautiful northern lights,
Cast magical spells in the aura of night,
Grace an onyx velvet dark sky,
Breathing ethereal life in the calm of night

I can almost see fairies,
Fluttering fragile translucent wings,
Leaving behind trails of silvery sparkling dust,
Surrounded by this kaleidoscope of colors.

The luscious green leaves of trees,
Rustle with clandestine tunes,
As crickets chirp and fireflies dance,
To the unison of this grandeur sight,
As if praising a deity in the dark,
Hidden within the lady of the light
