even though your gone
your names carved on my heart
and my memory has you drawn

you had me deep in love
so deep I went insane
my broken heart now shattered
for eternity of pain

when I got the call
that you had passed away
I drowned in my tears
never thought of this day

the worst part was I dreamt it
I heard your piercing scream
I saw your dreaded look
hoping it was all a dream

I went to your funeral
and they played a sad song
that’s when I finally realized
that you were really gone

I wanted to die
right then and there
I want to know why
life is so unfair

I have so many questions
most of them begin with why
all of them unanswered
and end with a cry
