Black

Cold Tuesday night, as I lay down the bed.
Feelings run down the memory lane.
Shivers my electric soul with the dark past.
As the cries echoes in my ears and all the pain.
For you who killed my spirit and spark,
I have forgiven.
But how long will I exist like this?
Grounded with a million thoughts in my head.
Would they accept me with the scarred heart and skin?
Know that they love my warm and moist face.
Swallowed poisoned words with a smile.
Receded my lion's will and valour
Beating my ambitions to black and blue.
Infested my passions to the very extent,
Started hating my guitar laying in some corner of the room.
Now the strings do not like to be plucked and played.
Dust and rust are their new friends.
Black as i turned with years,
Creeped into the subway of my worst fears.
Nothing was easy for me to let go,
But I did.
Hold on.
For I am not battered and broken,
Have a close look into those brown eyes.
And be thrilled to see a smiling winner again
