Dear Lord I'm sorry

by oscar   Dec 11, 2015

Dear lord I'm sorry
Dear lord I'm sorry that I don't understand your plan/
I'm sorry that I'm not a better man/
I'm sorry I don't understand why a child has to die at the age of 10/
I'm sorry that this world of sin has cause my faith to become paper thin/
I'm sorry I can't comprehend this world I was cast in/
I'm sorry that I ask so many questions/
I'm Sorry that my mind goes in so many directions/
I'm sorry that it's hard to see hope/
I'm sorry that it's getting harder to cope/
I'm sorry that I dwell/
I'm sorry that at times I feel like we're already living in hell/
I'm sorry that I don't know how to cherish knowing were all going to perish/
I'm sorry that I can't go on faith alone/
I'm sorry that at time I feel like you've left me here all alone/
I'm sorry that I can't give a blind embrace/
I'm sorry that I demand to see your face/

I'm sorry that this is what I'm writing but I feel like I'm fighting a battle that I can't win/
My heart can only stay open for so long so please come in/ cuz right now it's dwindling.

God knows our heart and all we have to do is call upon him. He can hear you. He may not work on your time but certainly on his. We have to be patient, God is always on time. Thank you for sharing. Enjoyed reading

An honest write that is very moving - desperate even. I'm sure many have been faced with this same questioning of their faith - especially in these sad times.

    All the very best,
    Ben
