Something about you

by Yakari Gabriel   Mar 16, 2016

I'll guess I'll blame god then,
for the breathtakingly beautiful way
in which he made you
how he seems to have taken
his sweet time with you

Something tells me
you were conceived on a Friday
and your parents must
have been deeply in love
(one night stands don't
breed such grace)

I don't know your birthday,
but somewhere deep
down you must be a Virgo
if not an Aries, or a Sagittarius
too crystal clear
to be a Gemini

and I'd drag these
verses forever,
I'd compare you
to every gorgeous thing
made in time
but the truth of the matter
is that there's something about
you, that makes me wish
you were mine
