Retaliation by Determination

by HappieMappie   Mar 31, 2016

A house filled with smoke
And a horrific infestation
The realization's dawning
And extracting a rabid frustration

You proclaim you love me
But your actions contradict
Tell me the supposed pleasure
Of being a crazed hyprocrite

Their grey, empty smiles
Come as natural as breathing
Undeserving grace
Through a facade so deceiving

You throw out your apologies
Like poisoned candy
But really their flimsy word
Is quite dead and sandy

I was bitterly birthed
By insane corruption
And poorly raised
With a fiery eruption

Living as beaten, rotten apples
Wrapped in a rugged box
You're inclined to become spoiled
But I would rather detox

Let me break this apparent logic
May the maggots accompany you
While I gradually slip away
And solemnly say adieu

Emerge yourselves in your lies
And a deranged false security
With selfish ambition I will seek
And drench in a finer purity

    "You throw out your apologies
    Like poisoned candy"

That's a really powerful image. I like this piece for your brutal honesty. (:
