Her Fleeing Darkness

by Rob   Apr 9, 2016

They can bring to you enchantment,
In a dream that is full of life,
And make you believe in fantasy,
In the endless dark of night...

The dreams that take you far away,
Will drag you through the lust,
It will make you wish it was over,
As you now can feel the rush...

Tainted smiles that reveal the truth,
The terror closes in,
A smile can take you to your doom,
And in the corner the devil grins.

Pain takes a turn and fills the mist,
It all seems so intense,
Forsaken words that filled your mind,
And all at your expense...

She wanted lust and fantasy,
She fell into the devils crush,
Forever now you're in the grip,
Of the mystic Ferries touch...

Dream as you will but be very aware,
The darkness is a treacherous place,
That can take you further in fantasy,
Then you ever thought you would wish...

To come no more and never return,
Death was planted in the seed,
Lust filled your mind and left you,
You gave into the Ferries greed...

Once just a smile but what you didn't know,
Was just a frown turned upside down,
Disguised in dreams and fantasies,
Now forever in the ground...

It's too late to say you're sorry,
The message has been sent,
Tomorrow will never get here,
It has all come to an end...

I felt a strong visual of the temptations of drugs and lust and the destruction caused. Very well written
