When I used to think of you

I only remember the good times
And try to forget the bad

I remember laying in your arms

And never wanting us to part.

I remember how dear you looked
When you were fast asleep
I remember the things you said
That made me happily weep.

I remember being in my room
Drinking and getting high
I remember when on the phone
Never wanting to say bye.

I remember all your jokes
And all the fun we had
I remember all the times
You jokingly made me mad.

I remember February second
And all the times after that
I remember how cute you were
With my adoring cats.

I remember my mom
And how she thought you were great
I remember anxiously waiting for you
When you were ever so late.

I choose not to remember a lot of things
But I'll always remember your kiss
And the things I choose to remember
Are the things I'll always miss.
