A Faded Friendship (you did this)

by Kathryn H   Jul 8, 2004

I always thought you were a phone call away
Someone to talk to no matter the time
Once I called you
You announced news that destroyed my life
Crumbled my hopes and dreams
Made worth living endlessly hopeless
You said we should not move to Seattle
You were getting sick and tired of me
Fell out of love with the man who is my best friend
All of our earlier conversations were useless and filled with silence
Our friendship should not be like this
But you decide not to further it
It’s our story; you’re not the only author
Why do I even bother?
I cared so much and thought of our tough luck
Your pain went right through me
Went right straight through my veins
It was like ridiline and speed put all into one
You erased all the writings of our work
Tried to forget our past
Crumbled them all up and threw them away forever
You couldn’t have done it
I don’t want to believe it
You should pay for this
My love and prayers for you were true
You changed your mind and just tried to keep on hiding
Best friends means to be there for one another
Now we should just forget about it
I guess you have regrets
We went through so much but I don’t regret any minute of it
We went through thick and thin
You just created a scene
You erased all my memories away
The hurt still is the same no matter how hard I try to convey
All you wanted was to make a scene
