BRILLIANT! I love this. I am out of nominations this week but it will get my vote on Monday.
It seems to me that those with the least confidence in life are those who have the most right to brag. Portraying yourself as average is a very commendable trait - a complete lack of vanity. You could almost say it is a far from average thing to do. However, there is a fine line between modesty and an unhealthy lack of confidence; it seems you suffer from some of the latter.
If your originality, kindness to others on this site and writing talent are anything at all to go by, Brenda, then just be modest but don't lack confidence!

Your right about a fine line between modesty and no confidence - I grew up always thinking I never was all that, still carry some of that with me, add bad relationships, bad choices and it can bring you to a low level. Life is made special by what you feel inside and the very fact your poem tries to play down your talents is so endearing and from what I have come to know of you from this site I would say you don't do yourself justice.
