Devil's Advocate

by Courtney   Jun 21, 2016

Cooling sense of self worth,
I cry to feel you now.
Other's say you're wrong for me,
But help me? They know not how.
You're dangerous for me,
Yes, you come too close.
But when I have you again,
My mind goes comatose.
You're my drug and prison,
And you've become ...freedom.
You're the only cure,
So you cause me to succumb.
I feel the shivers,
As I welcome the demon home.
While I start to press it in,
My blood will now atone.

Courtney, at first I thought this was about a relationship gone sour then I thought depression but then that shocking ending made me realise exactly what it was.

As Brenda said you write so openly which is good. I hope writing helped.
    All the best, Em
