Comments : If I just Knew that God Does Not Exist [ English Sonnet ]

Interesting and thoughtful perspective from the heart and mind, as always, Luce :)

The beginning was something I had never really considered before... usually I think about the impact of more clarity, of more tangible feeling of God. Of more reassurance and affirmation He is real. Which often comes in small ways I've come to realize. But to think about the effects if one knew for sure, if there was certainly no Heaven or Hell... well I can't imagine. My mind is always drawn to the possibility, the "what ifs", the mere "notion" of an eternal life where there is no more fear.

From one standpoint, it may seem to someone that this would be a solid answer, where they can find relief that there is no God. But then, don't we all believe and have faith in something? I guess you could say that person could "re-create" themselves so to speak.

But there is such sweet assurance in seeing and believing in something greater - especially as you mentioned, in such a simple yet nonexclusive way, the people and memories you take part in. I know in my life there are things that for sure give me faith. Because I couldn't imagine it just happening by chance, or just by a "human's touch" or experience. Something greater is involved.

    Thought-provoking, awesome sonnet!
