I've read this a couple of times and each time it makes me smile even more. I like the opening lines and you really carry the write through expressing your thoughts so beautifully one with nature.

Love comes in many ways, forms and places and distance does not seem to matter; for when there is love there is everything a heart needs and wants :)

An excellent peace, William, which questions the very core of what love actually is. Does it come with passion? closeness? Or simply a bonding of souls that neither time nor distance can break?

    Excellent write,

William, I have read this previously and forgot to comment, but here I am back to comment. I have so much to say about this but I can't get my brain to function properly as all the thoughts are swirling and twirling inside my head lol. Each time I have read this something else is highlighted inside my head which is what I like about poetry especially yours.

1: I like the beginning because it sets the scene very nicely of a man/woman standing alone with his thoughts as summer makes way for the fall and it will only get lonelier in the colder months.

2: I really like this part because of the imagery of thoughts returning just as sure as the moon rises and sets. There is no use regretting anything apart from the things we don't try.

3: I have never read anything as sincere as this in a long time. I have had tried long distance relationships and of course it is hard not to be able to hug then when you need to but its nice because it builds trust up and I have also had and I say to lightly 'proper' relationships with all the touchy feely stuff and you know what I can honestly say distance makes the heart grow fonder and most certainly stronger.

4: Distance is most definitely unimportant as long as you have trust I feel thats all that matters as I said previously yes the intimacy is missed but that too isn't important as being trustworthy and trusting alike.

This was a very relatable poem for me.
    All the best, Em

    Rhyming at its finest!

    Bonded souls, though distance apart!
The wording and tones are beautiful within this poem. I would have like to have seen this piece in a different format, but however it is displayed, its a gorgeous piece!

    Great writing; Mesmerizing.
I love the speculating on what love is conceived from. Questions I myself often ask.

"As Surely as the moon comes rising, and just as sure it sets, Just as sure are thoughts returning, I have without regret."

I love this stanza! I'm so jealous; I wish like hell I had thought of it myself!

Keep writing, I have chills of excitement to read more from you!
