To Calistar, My Star

by Ezeani Sunday   Sep 5, 2016

When being idle becomes idolatry
I recoil rapidly into my poetic oratory
Meditating, cogitating and relating
Fighting , trusting and waiting
Till my muse blossom like Summer lily
Forming amorous lines sleepily and dreamily

Let me tell the story of a unique star
Many stars shining from a far
I saw many but was confused
Till stormed onto a star and fused
The star really healed my blight
The star really made me bright

After our brief but deep experience
I came to my full and wonderful wholeness
It meant I found long lost rib
I escaped out of the lonely web
Hence my heart beam and gleam
My lips shiver in powerless stream

This star is really an angel
She changed to heaven my hell
She turned my pit to palace
My wild and crazy grass to grace
Like Midas touch lust 'alchemified' to love
Love rough as wolf and gentle as dove
