Writer's Block (Sonnet)

by stormingdance (Lessa)   Sep 8, 2016

I haven't a clue what to write about
Stuck on this mission to write a sonnet
Should it be 'bout a girl with a bonnet?
A better notion would erase all doubt.
So lost for a clue, I being to pout
Racing for a thought, I pounce upon it!
Thoughts slips through mind; I've lost 'em, daggone it!
In frustration for a notion, I shout!
Still at a loss for words of silver tongue,
I search in my vocabulary for
Zingy, fizzly words to make my words bounce
For a topic, my mind swirled and sprung
Me, at a loss for words? Nevermore!
A new little poem, finished, I announce!

I wrote this poem in English class in High School.
