The falling leaf

by DarkLight   Oct 10, 2016

Seasons had passed, but still she held on
but no more should she
for life had shown her better days
with difficulty I saw her give in
not to the storm, but the winds that soothed her to come with.
She drifted, floating and swinging in the air.
Gracefully she came down, still watching
amazed by nature itself.
She thought her purpose was done,
and I found goodness in her majestic landing.
I picked her up, smiled and promised her safety.
'til this day safe she remains.
The fall of 2012.
Leaf that made me smile.

This is so beautiful, written with such softness and grace.
The way the autumn leaf has been described, it's journey all along...it's lovely. That's how life too feels like.
And how you have kept it safe for so long, that's sweet! :)
