It was once upon a time
From the moment we locked eyes
Until it wasn't anymore
And it was her company you wanted more.
It was perfect-this unspoken bond we shared
Until it wasn't any longer
And I questioned if you even cared.
It had all the makings of a happy ever after
Until it became never ever
Never happy after
Happy never
It became simply
After.

    Hello Krystal and congratulations on an original first post from you.
    It almost reads as a rather clever little tongue twister. I like the way the lines become shorter and shorter, climaxing in an abrupt and brutal end!
