Michael, this i feel is yet another fantastic sonnet about the finding of love and many of us have many toads to kiss before we find the sweet paradise we are searching for.. That's what I got from this though I may be way off the mark.

    Really intriguing.

Hello, Em - you're quick off the mark as usual.

This is a little cryptic, but there again, often sonnets can be. This Sonnet is about me, dad, been around the block (old sea dog) wanting to save my (fledgling kite) son from being hurt in his search for Paradise. The moral of this tale is: There are no short cuts in love, often the hard way (salty bites and shredded sails) is the only way to learn.

I hope this helps and provides a footnote for others.

      Thanks again, Em.

    Thank you, Gel.

I appreciate the compliment, heck I need them. I want to explain the weird symbols scattered before and after the text:

The associated imagery is supposed to symbolise a \___/ boat with a heart (X) in it, searching for Paradise. When one (X) finds another (x) they both sail off \_(XX)_/ together on the ~~~ sea.

Notice how the first \___/ slowly travels from right to left, that shows the progress of the journey.

    Thanks again, Gel.

    Take care,

    Michael
