God, Please

God, I don’t understand,
How can you bless me with such a man,
With someone so wonderful,
That I can love,
And at the same time,
Allow him to hurt me so bad?

Father, you know everything
That is going to happen in our lives,
Long before we are ever conceived,
So why, Father, didn’t you stop him,
From ever hurting me?
Why, Lord, was I able to love him,
So freely and openly?

Father, I need help!
I love him with everything in me,
I am so in love with the man,
That I am willing to give up everything
I ever had
Just to spend the rest of my life,
With him by my side.

I know that I do not need him,
To financially take care of me,
But I want him to want and love me,
Just like I love and want him!

I never wanted to fall in love,
I never meant to get close enough,
But I did, and now it hurts,
Cause now he says he doesn’t love me.

Father please, I beg of you,
Open his heart, his eyes, and let him see,
Let this man find that
He is in love with me,
And bring him back,
For eternity.
