The Eternal Silence

by Brandon Dykens   Mar 9, 2017

The eternal silence of the sea lapping up my reality
Noisily
Pounding in the electronic sentence of sleep deep within my reach.
I stand up and preach the words learned by listening to those that heard.
We, like birds and herds, flock together to understand the words of this man.
Just why?
Most just don't understand that we indeed are free
to be so much more then we have learned in society.
The fat cat doesn't dare a rat to those he is stealing from.
Just as though he knows me and the rum-laden mixture I am alluding too.
Just as well Adam fell and the crown was never found after.
Stars like jars happen to open and show you the wonder within
just before the spin when the sound starts again...
The eternal silence
Of the sea
Lapping up my reality
Noisily...
