As I awaken

by Brandon Dykens   Mar 9, 2017

Suddenly awakened from sleep deprivation.
A sudden temptation to avoid the graduation of my soul.
Gods blessings creep in and i find i am starting again.
A thousand mile journey measured in foot steps back to thee.
I find my self free and happy now that i gave you the key to my cell door.
Wake as I actualize and recognize the bars and walls are inside my mind.
Like a tall mountain taken low by the wind and snow.
It seems I get better with age like a fine wine.
A red stop sign turns to green and I go.
As i simply give in to the message of him.
As free as a raven, black feathered and paving the shadows back to home.
To a place of light where the only fight is in worshiping God
and who can out do who blazed the way to glory in you.
Love feels like a needed hot shower with a message thrown in.

Love others as i have loved thee for eternity.
