Supernova

by Brandon Dykens   Mar 9, 2017

Nineteen moments ago
a star went into super nova
so far away
two heart beats later it was next day.
Ten moments ago it was leap year in 1963
You opened your eyes to the shine of the next day.
Nine moments ago you realize
then immediately rationalize the things you don't see.
Now you see it's two hours tell
You carefully set seven minutes,
before it is actually the right time ...
alarm goes off...
and even though I know that time is a fantasy
made with sleep cream
seeing the reality of my day dreams holds more truth.
Asleep now I understand how and why

a super nova is a fantastic thing.
