Silk Rose

by Hollow Dreamer   Mar 12, 2017

Walked a thousand miles in a lifetime.

Now as I blaze up this blunt while I stand in the rain,
Reminiscing on past flames silk rose with the blue.
Wondering where I went wrong can we still love each
Other? Lonely nights, rainy blues how it is without you.

Wrote a poem from the soul hope it reach in good terms,
Strolling down memory lane Southside with you. Your Smile
Was the same then but it was the pain that I saw, Feeling
Like the lost cause trying to mend a broken heart.

Couldn't be the man for you but I still got love,
Lost chapters in the wind from the bond we shared.
Put together all these pieces of these lines I write,
It'll tell you from the start shawty that our story was real.

Sitting by the window pain, Melancholy the sky.
As rain drops hit the frame cut the strings to my
Heart. Trying to burn past yet all I see is her,
She was chaos and beauty intertwined with wisdom.

And even though we've gone separate roads,
Leading different stories to tell. I still dream of the
Day We'll see each other again.

This side or the other

To the girl on G street where it all started.
