    Larry,

The imagery coupled with the warm intensity of this beautiful poem makes this a pleasure to read.
Those last two lines sum a relationship worth having up perfectly. Nothing is too much to bear if we have someone we feel like this about to greet us at the end of the day.
I hope this is nominated; I'm out!

    Take care

Thank you to you all for your kind comments. The most endearing comment was a kiss, which came from my wife when I read it to her on the evening after I wrote it.

The imagery in this piece is so amazing, it feels like story told through a painting. The rhythm is smooth like paint on a canvass and the vivid images are just the right thing to really make this piece pop. Length and style were both spot on here too and the title was so phenomenal that I kept playing around with it in my head wondering what exactly it would mean to the author. Great piece, very well written.

The message is clear and simple yet deeply personal at the same time. A poem that many have shared and can relate to I think, the zest of longing and excitement when we rush to meet our loved ones. Well executed and so easy to see the love shining through. The imagery had me sitting in that car off to the airport!
