Rain hides the tears and matches how you feel,
the thought that you wanted comfort from the
    pain, through rain...
Was far deeper then that puddle. Beautiful

The rain has an effect on people and the moods and visuals
that accompanies it just varies and smacks you drenching the
whole of you right to the core...liked the imagery that came along
    with each line.

    Congrats on the Win!

What I got from this poem was this magnificent feeling of hope that trickled into disappointment. The transition is something that's not easily achieved but you did so here with the use of vivid details and a peek of the speaker's thoughts here and there.

    Judging Comment:

Such beautiful imagery in this piece allows for readers to take in so many ways. And the idea of rain has this symbolism that encourages people to read this piece time and time again for new meanings. The voice in this is gentle but also sorrowful, but elegantly done, not just over done the rain represents tears sort of pain and sadness. For a relatively simple piece, this is graceful and well penned.

This is lovely!!! Grey streets, wet flip flops, black sky... Wonderful imagery! I can feel the sadness and disappoinment in this write, the sadness from rembering things about someone you hold dear and the disappoinment in waiting for the rain that didn't come. Am just not fond of "Rain over me... please." And the overuse of ellipsis, some worked, but I think the others can be much better without it. Nonetheless, this is an amazing write! Added to favorites and congratulations on the win!
