Reasons Left in the Dark

by Hope   May 2, 2017

Can you save me?,
burning away to be given away to be free; before me,
heads turn for a shot between the eyes,
it's no surprise,
I'm no fool between hello and goodbye;
limbo by the sea,
you might show me what it 's like;
only to sing your blues; songless,
your feet dance to the shade of every color,
I don't bother; by goodbye,
tell me the shade of another,
eyes are the windows to the soul,
a burning black hole; embers,
you give me the cold side of December,
starless; heartless;
because all I see is all I forget,
I leave behind every regret,
your bones are tuned within; mortal sin,
marrows set for life; golden,
you're beyond my sight; sky beholden,
I just wait for the rain;
the sea of change; my affliction,
I'm not the masochist by the veins in my wrist;
my blood persists,
my reasons are left in the dark.
