She Matters

It doesn't matter how great she says you are,
nor how beautiful,

nor that she smiles and kisses your forehead every single night as you sleep,

What matters is how she gently touches your wounded heart after an argument,
how she apologises again and again after hitting you too hard in a play fight,

What matters is that she loves you, completely, and that she'd do anything for you,
that to her you are beautiful, inside and out, it matters that to her you are great,

And beyond all that,
what matters is that she matters,
