Two Men

by Domenico Sottile   Jun 18, 2017

One man fell in love
and lost control
another was loved
and gained it all
Nothing made both stronger
than a woman
inflicting on them
the same offenses

So she lost her entire self
by having crossed
those unguarded fences

She had alternate facts
that spoke the loudest
and made the truth
just an echo in the least

It behooved to seek
the truth with strength
for that was
rather than praying
of shorter length

As long as of good deeds
the water was dripping
the resistance of deviousness
eventually began softening

The two men ended up
smelling like a rose
while the woman never arose
