The good music stopped, I was swaying to the tune! Your rhymes are always awesome, Ken! A lovely dedication.

Thanks Mel, I bet now you could slant your verses as they sway to a new tune.

Love the enthusiasm in this poem! I feel like it could be part of a musical. Lovely flow to it. Well written!

"How about taking a hot shower on a chilly day, serenade yourself aloud"
^ Ahhhhh, this line! It speaks to everyone!

Thanks Zahra, I love to include in my poem things that everyone can relate to. As a young boy we had no hot water, not even a shower, we heated a large pot on the stove, poured into a basin and took sponge baths. In the summer my brother and I would go to the unfinished basement, put a hose over a beam and take a very chilly shower. Many years later when I got a job in New York City I was able to rent a small one room apartment in Staten Island. It had a stall shower and HOT water, the first time I got in the shower I began singing my heart away, oh happy day!
